Around Christmas of 2021 Santa brought us two gifts, one just before the holidays and another … just after! We are definitely not disappointed!
Two of our proposals have been granted observing time (while another one at ESO didn’t make it this time). We got 4.2 h with FORS2 multislit instrument at ESO, and 24.75 h with OSIRIS at GTC. Both of these proposals are vital in order to complete our Southern and Norther samples of galaxies. They supplement the data we have already obtained with previous proposals (using the same instruments), and will allow us to classify and scrutinize for signatures of past or current mass loss events. The observations will increase the number of spectroscopically identified dusty massive stars in nearby galaxies and study the episodic mass loss as a function of metallicity.
